Shepherd Falls Short In National Championship Game

In the teams first ever trip to the NCAA Division 2 football National Championship game, the Shepherd University Rams suffered a 34-7 loss against Northwest Missouri State. The Bearscats (15-0) were making their 9th championship game appearance and claimed their record tying 5th National Championship. Shepherd finished their record breaking season at 13-1.
