
Jefferson Wins the Region 2 Baseball Title

On Wednesday (5.25.) night, the Jefferson Cougars traveled to Elkins and defeated the Tigers 8-1 to win the AAA Region 2 baseball championship. The defending state champions got a complete game 3-hitter from starting pitcher Bradley Davis, who struck out 5 and did not walk a batter. Austin Bulman led a 10-hit attack with three hits, including a double, and 2-RBI. Paul Witt added a single and a double and 2-RBI. With the win, Jefferson advances to the state tournament at Appalachian Power Park in Charleston where they will play Wheeling Park in the state semifinals next Friday (6.03) at 5:00pm.
