Wednesday 2/24 Weather – Rain, Wind, Storms
24 February 2016 Weather
*** A FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE EASTERN PANHANDLE THROUGH TOMORROW NOON ***
Strong low pressure coming out of the Gulf states and moving toward the Eastern Panhandle today and tonight will bring mild temperatures and plenty of showers, even a few thundershowers. While not expected, an isolated severe thunderstorm is possible. The rain will be widespread and may cause some areas of standing water and hydroplaning conditions on the roadways. Heavier downpours will reduce visibility at times also. Temperatures this afternoon will make it into the 50s. Lesser intensity showers will continue overnight with a low near 40.
Tomorrow’s forecast is for blustery winds and any lingering showers ending early. High temperatures near 45 degrees. Friday looks good with lots of sunshine but a cooler high of 39.
