Winter warmth starts trending cooler on Friday
9 March 2016 Weather
Wednesday, March 9, 2016:
With high temperatures of 80 degrees repeatedly this week, Spring seems pretty imminent if not already right at home here in the Eastern Panhandle. Forecast temperatures over the period through March 20th (the official start of Spring by the calendar) should be mainly in the 60s, averaging 10-15 degrees above normal. A better chance of showers develops tonight and again on Sunday as a coll front sweeps in from the Great Lakes, then comes back north as a warm front on Sunday. Monday could bring a 70 degree high with a mix of sun and clouds.
